Venison kebab

Make your own wild version of this classic takeaway dish. It's an easy weekday meal that takes less than 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • Wild meat (e.g. venison)

  • Soft flatbread (preferably homemade)

  • Salad

  • Tomatoes

  • Cucumber

  • Red onions

  • 100 ml Greek yoghurt

  • 100 ml sour cream

  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

  • 2 gloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tsp cumin

  • 1 tsp. chili

  • 1 tsp. cardamom

  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Procedure

Mix all the spices (cumin, chilli, cardamom, cinnamon, salt and pepper) together in a bowl and spread generously on the meat.

Tip. For extra flavour, marinate the meat for a few hours if you have the opportunity.

Then slice the lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber and red onion.

To make a dressing, mix Greek yogurt, sour cream and lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper.

When you're ready to eat, pan-fry the meat and cook to your liking. Remember to let it rest for a few minutes before serving.

Good hunting & good cooking.
